Crappie Along The Way Today.......4/13/2018
We'll have to battle winds up to 30 this weekend but the fish are biting shallow on several local rivers and the others are close...........had fun with a fellow submarine veteran today on the "surface".......LOL

Thanks Slip and good question.........the river systems are very healthy and full of juvenile fish as well........this is supported by a number of Wildlife Resources Commission Surveys..........The creel limit per person is 20 crappie over 8".........it is not difficult in several local river systems to catch a limit of 12 to 13 Inch fish with an occasional 14 to 15 Inch fish..........some rivers have an abundance of 10 to 12 inch fish so the creel in these rivers has a smaller average.......All of my local crappie are "black" crappie in brackish water..........several North Carolina lakes produce some whopper "white" crappie but I don't leave the fertile waters I have locally very often.............
