I usually use shrimp when i cant get them on anyting else or when im going after the the bigger gills. I use the shrimp under a popping cork/bobber and it sometimes it works for some nice gills.

Hey Tommy and Warrior...could you tell me more about the shrimp gig? I have used 'grass shrimp' as a very effective tipping bait in Delmarva mill ponds and spillways.

Hey Tommy, That's Right!!!! Nobody ever believes me when I used to tell folks that I used to use Jumbo shrimp as Big Bluegill and Pumpkinseed bait when I used to live in Virginia!!!! But it's true and I caught some MONSTER GILLS and P-SEEDS on it....It doesn't always work in different waters but when you find a body of water where the Gill and Panfish like'em they can be a KILLER bait for BRUTALLY BIG BRUISER GILLS!!!!! Way to go Tommy!!!!
