Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My buddy Ron with another DCL ( Deep Creek Lake) trophy yellow perch at 14 1/2 inches. Didn't weigh the fish but it was likely pushing the two pound mark, maybe a bit more.

Some individual perch have smaller 'secondary' stripes in between the major stripe markings, like this one does.

Hot oil,...but I can understand the need to release fish such as this. Every year we get several in the 15" plus class, bigggest I've seen this year up there is just shy of 16 with a huge girth...it is clearly one of the top waters in the nation for trophy perch.

That is a JUMBO-jumbo.
Released in hot oil, or back in the wild?
