The last two vehicle ferry can be seen on one of my favorite North Carolina rivers...The Cashie at San Souci....What's cool to me is it rides on a submerged cable and pulley system...Still free today as well!

What's neat David is it's in the middle of no where and saves locals about a 30 mile round trip....Change isn't always for the best and I like the history of these type of things..guess I'm old fashioned in some ways....
