Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This thing was rough when I got it.
Years of neglect had taken its original finish, so....time to revive it!
I was in a color contrast phase at the time, and all the talk about the color pink around here led to this.
White Top
Black bottom
Pink Sides
All embellishments by hand

Nice!  Why didn't I see this when you first posted it???

I saw some Jitterbugs in a clearance basket today that were in Bone color.  I'm wondering if I should head back?

Thanks, Tooty. I can't stand to see old lures in bad shape. You might say I'm the Lure Reviver.
Actually, all of Jeffs comments about the color pink is partly what inspired this. Also, I was reading an old book at the time that talked about contrast vs. realistic finishes.
Poking around my spray paint shelf, what'd I find? Florescent pink! So, it has a white top, BLACK bottom and pink sides.
The markings were inspired by the old coach dog patterns, from bygone days.
When I got it, the poor thing was ragged, corroded and faded.

"Resourceful"... I like that.
I think of it as cheap, but resourceful sounds better.
Thanks, John!
