I used jigs. Made an interesting discovery pretty quickly. The bottom is dark, the water is only slightly stained and it is fairly shallow (maybe 6' in the middle). I never lost sight of my jig. I heard some fishy commotion out of range but anywhere I approached it was dead calm. I probably should have laid low a few minutes. I think I spooked anything for several yards just by being on the bank. It doesn't look clear because it is so reflective and everything on the bottom is dark. It is not gin clear; more like Glenlevit... :)

Taking kids to late brunch first and try not to wolf it down and keep staring at my watch. Taking them out to dinner later also, but should have 3 hours or so to fish.
