I usually use shrimp when i cant get them on anyting else or when im going after the the bigger gills. I use the shrimp under a popping cork/bobber and it sometimes it works for some nice gills.

Hey Tommy and Warrior...could you tell me more about the shrimp gig? I have used 'grass shrimp' as a very effective tipping bait in Delmarva mill ponds and spillways.

Yeah it works for the big gills. Same here IceWarrior lots of people dont believe but it works.

Hey Tommy, That's Right!!!! Nobody ever believes me when I used to tell folks that I used to use Jumbo shrimp as Big Bluegill and Pumpkinseed bait when I used to live in Virginia!!!! But it's true and I caught some MONSTER GILLS and P-SEEDS on it....It doesn't always work in different waters but when you find a body of water where the Gill and Panfish like'em they can be a KILLER bait for BRUTALLY BIG BRUISER GILLS!!!!! Way to go Tommy!!!!
