These two Crappie were caught in Rainbow Lake in lower Michigan. Rainbow lake was formed from damming the Maple River. Back in the early 90s the dam broke and the lake emptied. A few years after the dam was rebuilt the lake for some reason grew some huge Crappies and this only lasted a couple years. It's a private lake and still a good fishing lake but it was phenominal for a couple years. My buddy Gary who caught these fish ended up buying some property on this lake just to beable to fish it.
