Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Caught this fish on a pink and white hair jig and using a float to aide my presentation. Often when fishermen think bobber or float, we think of fishing live bait. Well floats can be a highly effective way to present artificial lures and jigs as well. I prefer to use a weighted needle nose float. The shape along with small weight allows the fish to pull it under with little effort.
