Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

We try to make it to Ontario every year. We catch so many that by the third day (of a 9 day trip) we have to wrap our thumbs in DUCKTAPE because thay are so sore from landing fish. But... monsters like this are few and far between. Caught on a 5wt rod and a 1/0 popper fly (yellow and black)

I tell ya what Andre, that gal outfishes me more often than not. Best "Keeper" I ever caught. She ties a fine fly and flings a far line herself.

THANKS! I at least get to claim "Guide Props" on that fish. To be honest I was laying on my belly out the back off the boat, jigging up Yellow Perch on an ice fishing rig I found in the tall weeds along the portage trail.
