A local tradition down in Louisiana. Folks catch Crawfish, Crabs, Fish and hunt Ducks with these little one man boats called Pirogues......

no sir i havnt i was driving down the road by a pit syop / bait store called loyd's they sell cricketts worms and minnows ......and i saw something called bayou lacome .... it looks like a good spott but i know no info about it but looks pretty good .... its got black water wich looks grest for coopernose gills and alot of trees but it looks like it gator infessted if u kno anything about this spot let me know

Trey I was fortunate growing up in this area to have access to many private ponds and lakes.....I like all the Northern tributaries from Lake Ponchartrain for good brackish water fishing..Biggest gills I ever caught in Slidell area were in the bar pits at T.L. James and company.....these were along I-55 between Slidell and the Mississippi state line... Have you fished the Slidell area before?
