A couple of weeks ago, the bluegill bite was shaping up nicely. Right now it seems like they're hunkered down again. I think this weekend I'm gonna visit my favorite canal and see if the bull 'gills and crackers have moved in yet. Hopefully some good pics and a fish fry coming soon! If not, maybe I'll cave in and start actually trying to select for some bigger crappie in the pond.
