For whoever took this picture deserves a big credit for sure;;;;;   BUT !!! the look in that ospreey;s face;; it;s like ehe;s saying;; leave me alone !! I.m trying to eat here !! LOLOL

I wanted to share Carl….I’ve tried for years to get good pictures of osprey and bald eagles which I see every time out…..this is a great photo and credit to the person that took it….

Now that is something you don't see everyday imagine how that crappie feels. I have seen ospreys grab fish but not that big wow!

Yeah Jack…l just shared the photo because it was a cool picture with such a large crappie……this may have been taken during the spring or maybe the fish was struggling or even perished……based on my observations our local crappie are definitely not shallow yet but we have experienced lowering surface temps which is a good sight after so much heat in July and August….l.

Those fish are either awfully shallow or pretty high up in the water column.

You and me both…..they’re hundreds of breeding pairs of Osprey on the Albemarle….I’m captured by these birds and although not as numerous, an increasing population of bald eagles as well with nesting chicks wish is a great sign…..
