Yup you have the sleepless night fever bad buddy !!!!!!!!! Not the Cottons or Silents will be hard not to use at the stables but the slowest falling of all are the regular old bead heads and rubber legs buddy. Thinking of spots just like this in Southern Illinois is what keeps me up at night !!!!!!!! Will have shots of all the spots and some heavy cover gill shots to boot this year. Haven't been down there since I got my new fangled camera and really looking forward to it ....... LOTS OF PICS THIS SPRING TO COME BUDDY, THEY JUST WON'T BE AS BIG AS YOURS !

This place is unique as it is relatively shallow compared to the nearby river....when the water reaches 80 degrees, it becomes a great first light and late day destination as fish move in shallow during these lower llight periods and you get a frantic bite for an hour or so........

Well Unfortunately I won't get to see this spot this spring !!!!! I think the gills move in and out of all the spots on a regular basis to spawn etc. all year long . I suppose to the water temp is a factor too .....

No worries....I'll be trying and featuring many new bugs....the slow fall at the Stables already keeps me up at night!

It's a great spot and one I haven't been to yet this Spring.....I'm trying to save it for friends and family but that's extremely difficult knowing the quality of the fish in there.....
