Gillcrackers always seem to have that distinctive brownish/coppery gillplate markings. I think they're an amazing fish, and I think that they absolutely have a top end potential in the 4 pound range.

This fish came from KY lake. That's why it's one of my favorites for panfish.
An absolutely incredible fishery.
