The Carolina Life.....May is just weeks away......getting fired up!

It starts with the full moon in May and gets better in June before finally peaking in July on both sides of the Thunder Moon which is the 22nd of July this year.....Usually the time of the year I catch my biggest gills......

I plan to visit the location that produced these fish sometime this weekend.....pretty exciting.....same place I caught the gill in my profile picture last year......I have caught and released trophy gills in this spot every year since 1999 and it survived our worst fish kill in 20 years...Hurricane Isabel back in 2003.....it's a place that I feel confident that I can challenge my personal best mark.....

Thanks Mike and Dean.....it's hard to sleep at night when the bite is as good as it is now!
