High Skies By The Time I Saw This.....
Fish raced off as I got close enough to look around and take a few pictures.......with our August Full Moon next week this nest had active fish on it making this the fourth full moon cycle in a row that sunfish have spawned on the Albemarle.....

Yep.....I'm sure that most of the bluegill are done but I have always encountered some that are spawning on the August full moon on the Albemarle.........No Science with it so I don't know if this is the same fish that have already spawned this year or fish that are just going in......coppernose lose their distinctive spawning colors around Labor Day in these parts....

That is crazy that they continue to spawn like that. I'm positive that most of our bluegill and particularly shellcracker, do a one time spawn.
