Do you love big bluegill?
Mainly 1/64 ounce as we close in on colder waters and a bag of 1/32 ounce to use immediately.....Everything in the water here hits these jigs.....I tip them with grass shrimp, crickets and live minnows for the best results.....

Yeah Carl...Tripp insists they are simple.......never-the-less they catch fish!
excellent looking jigs Jeff!!
It appears to be some sort of yarn Allen........not exactly sure though..........
What's the body material? Some kind of pink yarn?
These are harder to get at my house than my "secret" seafood gumbo recipe.......LOL......this pattern is a top five bait again in 2014...............and all I had to do is take Tripp fishing.............wasn't hard to make it happen!
I would say I fish under a float/indicator 90% of the time....Most of the coastal river systems here are relatively shallow and thus I most often fish in six feet of water or less David.......With these depths it's easier to use an indicator even when fishing near bottom.......Yesterday I employed a micro float that only displayed a fluorescent yellow stick while fishing....I've caught big bluegill on bottom in South Carolina where the tide created a pretty stiff current and fish seemed to hug the bottom but here it's barely even detectable so I like my bait off the bottom a little.....Just my take on why I suspend my jigs.....
These are fished beneath a float, as usual?
You can never have enough Rick....lol........This was the jig of choice today Jim......seven species on the smaller 1/64 ounce variety.............Tripp is being very modest but these jigs are a great tannic water bait and the flash puts these over the top............
Jeffery - have enough PINK JIGS ya think - hehe..
