Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Best gill of a short evening outing at a local public pond. Between me and Dad we caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 gills in a hour of fishing after work. Still catching them in shallow water, 3-4', fishing pink Gulp! waxies about 1' under a float.

its really weird how color productivity varies for me ... down state... chartreuse was a hot color for me on just about every species... up north here not so much. pink took over

Thanks guys. I like them, Slip. I started using the natural color of the Gulp! Alive waxies in the spring and picked up a jar of pink sometime during the summer. Both of them have caught fish for me, but I've had a bit more success with the pink. They've definitely earned a place in my box going forward.
