Well guys,  this bass was caught on an older super-ultralight Quantum Micro MS-54 ULS rod, a little Daiwa Spinmatic X 500T reel loaded with 2 lb Trilene XL clear monofilament line.  We fish tiny hand-tyed jigs that Ledhed makes and we tip the hooks with either a live cricket, waxworm or mealworm.  You can see the little silver jig right below the guide of my rod.  Yes this bass fought great and for several minutes before it was netted.  You really need to have good equipment with smooth drags when using such light line.  Though we catch bass, we are really trying for really big Bluegill and Redear.  Though fun to catch, the Largemouths are a nuisance and we call them "Green Carp"... Ha!

I'm sure that was quite a battle on such light line.  It takes great angling skills to play and land a fish like that on 2#.

That is quite an exciting  fight on2#test!! Yes what kind of rod and reel ? How long till ya lipped her?I'm guessing it hit a very small bait you're hopefully anxious to reveal. Ha Ha!What is that red bait container back there? No harm if you keep it to yourself though :)
