I had one in my tank about a year ago, it was so aggressive I had to take him out.  Now he is 1 of 2 longears in my pond.

I know they fight well, and if they grew as big as BG I would fill my pond with them, even though I think they prefer the clear creeks and streams.

I wonder how large a Bluegill x Longear cross would get?

Frank, It is a longear, but here in my neck of th woods they are known as pumpkinseeds. We have a lot of them here in Ok.. Beautiful fish, and a great catch on a popper!!!!!!

Thats a nice fish, looks like a Longear to me. We used to catch them all the time about 20 plus years ago.
