Bruce what more would you like to know? My scale isn't worth a darn so I didn't weigh her. Wish I did so that I could compare the RW to the chart.
Any way I stocked my pond (2+acres) with BG (and apparently pumpkinseeds), 25-5inchers and 100 2-3inchers, in the spring of '05. I think this low initial stocking allowed the BG and PS to grow fast. I found evidence of lepomis reproduction that first fall, and an increase each following year.
There are now only a few large predators (less than a dozen 10 - 12" Bass) due to poaching by trespassers. This spring I finally saw evidence of my first LMB spawn.
The fish in the pond include: [BG, PS, (variety of all sizes)] LMB, BHC, [RT(5-6")], and I haven' seen any lately but there were sticklebacks.
The fish only eat natural forage, never attempted supplemental feeding. I might give it a try though to see if I can get a real monster.

OK, now this proves to me that this site is on the right track!! People are starting to recognize what makes a bluegill really special. This thing is in fabulous body condition. I'll bet the relative weight is over 140. That means that this fish is 40 percent heavier than a fish that would be considered 75th percentile for it's region. It also appears to be a very young fish--small head and eyes relative to it's length. I'd really like to hear a little more about this fish. Surely the other fish in the pond must be in good shape as well.

More! More!
