There's really a lot going on in this photo. The water...the MOOD of the day. The trees, including a dead leaning tree to the left. The fishing and kayaking equipment...the expression of the fish, and the weather. It all comes together.
Actually - this is Cazenovia Lake in Central NY. This lake is like a Mini-Fingerlake - east of the Real Finger Lakes. Formed the same way - but much smaller and only 45 feet deep. Super BG Fishery - they say Perch too - but I haven't targeted them here yet.
Thanks Bruce - the photos I take are to remind me of what was best about the day - and I try to include in the pictures bits to help me remember years later - like the Kayak in this picture, the flyrod, and the glow of the waning sun - it was great fishing even though there was a chop on the water - I had to use an anchor to hold upwind of the beds in 4-6 ft of water.
