Bill, I've been raising them myself the last couple of years. We need to develop a market. They are an awesome fish. They grow fast, and they like pellets better than redears do.

nice fish there are a lot of stocked '' hybreds'' in no il .been seeing some odd looking fish past few yrs.never seem to have a camera when i get one.just a thought, there are 9 million people in n/e il-n/w in.gills getting smaller every year.took a few freinds, they just needed some where to take the kids.well, needless to say i have a few less friends.cant keep taking 100s of males off the beds and expect the populations to survive.i en joy eating a few myself, but my love is the catching.kill the big males and all you will have is stunted fish.in my world all fish over 8 should go back
I second that!.... Why isn't there a hatchery somewhere raising these awesome fish? ....If this is the F1 result of a male BG X female Redear, why wouldn't it make sense?
