I have used a float boat like the one pictured above for about 14 years. I use it at least 50 days a year and use it mainly for floating rivers even though it is perfect for duck hunting and lake fishing. Each pontoon has two bladders and I believe the new ones use 1000 denier nylon to cover the bladders. The one pictures is a two man boat, but I have a gear bag on the front instead of the extra seat.
I purchased it at http://dryflyfloatboats.com/. The owner custom builds them one at a time and can modify it for any sport or any way you want. For example Dave (owner) made one for a guy for duck hunting. The guys dog sits on a platform just above the water. When the dog swims out to get a duck, the hunter slides the platform into the water on a slight angle so the dog is able to easily climb back on the platform. The hunter then grabs a handle and slides the platform and dog back up and out of the water, duck and all. The entire thing weighs about 35 lbs without gear and is almost indestructible. I have fished with guys on almost all the other brands and at the end of the day, they wish they were on my boat.
