I use a #12 or #10 fine wire hook, tight cell foam body, with rubber legs, set hook in the vice, wrap with thread front to back, then I glue the body onto the hook and then tie with more thread, tie on legs, and then knot a couple of times, then Glue, Option, I also use loose cell foam bodies, they do not float on top, but just below the surface of the water, sometimes gills will not take topwater but will take it just below. Have caught plenty of 8 to 11 inch gills and redears on Sacrider in Noble co. IN.

Darell...How'd you make this? Materials ,Hook size? Any big gills caught on this guy!
