Do you love big bluegill?
Finally got everything together to paint my own tungsten ice jigs. These are all 5mm. Starting from the left, Glow Pink with Glow White, Glow Chartreuse with Glow White, Gold (more like a tarnished Brass), and the rest are what is called "WonderBread". Three of those have a Glow White base, and get referred to as "Wonder Glow". The other two have a White Pearl base, and I'm calling them "Wonder Pearl".

Thanks all. I'm not overly satisfied with the glow on these. I did a base coat of White, then a second coat of Glow White, added the other colors, then a light coat of 200% Clear powder paint to seal the jigs. I'll shine my UV torch at them to charge them up, and the White is mottled. It's kind of like looking at a slab of marble, with all the veins in it. Probably have to end up doing some without the White base coat, and just do a double dip into Glow White.
Slip, no idea. If we have ice around here, it's not safe. My car broke down, looks like I need to get something else (again!), so I haven't even been looking. Yes, I have Black powder paint, as well as a couple different kinds of Red powder paint. I just need to get more unpainted jigs. I only have 6 jigs left......
These are nicely done Allen.......I haven't fished tungsten in our shallow waters but these colors would work for sure.......
For Gills I might say Red is my favorite Color .Green Prism tape on a spoon for Crappie and Pickerel maybe .
Black is good if fish are looking up against the ice I imagine .Gonna have to try black .
... you have to try black... my over-all favorite color
wow!... they look great Allen!....how close are you to safe ice?
Allen-Nice job on the painting of these Marmooska style ice jigs. The glow may be just what's needed in those dark depths when snow is thick on the ice .
