Thanks June!...i still think it had some hybridization in it at first… then I tagged  some GS x PS at a state camp grounds where they were stocked in the local campground ponds… after looking at the BG x GS mixes and then the GS X PS mixes I decided to let the experts at the DNR yay or nay… “very unusual and large for a GS hen… congrats” was basically their response and discussion. I had no idea at the time it would be tied for the largest in the state for the 2017.

I then later looked in the record database… Earl and I hold the only certificate fish in the county in over 20 years…. This fish is getting mounted for sure.

nice fish ken, every time I catch one I thought it was a pumpkin gill. Learn something new everyday,lol
