Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Tied up some more Baitfish jigs. 1/8 pillhead. I like to put these on a jig spinner frame. DEADLY on Smallmouth Bass in streams. I should start throwing these around in some of the lakes as well.

I think this jig is supposed to rock a bit when jigged.  Either front-to-back, or side-to-side.  I can't remember.  I got 100 each of two different weights in a swap a couple years ago.

Any thoughts on the flat side design advantage in terms of triggering bites ?

That would be a great touch !

I have not tried to put eyes on these, yet.  I do have some.  I'll probably end up putting on the eyes, then putting a little Clear Cure Goo over them and hitting them with the UV Torch.  That way they don't come off :)

Smallie jigs huh Allen .Good man ! They look great! I like the pill design . Have you stuck eyes on those flat sides before?

I understand with the flat side there's a fluttering action that occurs that may give them a trigger advantage.
