Often that's the case you are right Slip , and thanks! I am very pleased to be learning to more consistently contact fish in Shepherds lake (a beautiful spring fed 74 acre body of water )through the months of the year as my home lake is messed up due to weed control for swimming and sailing .

12" Crappie are fine fish ! Lost one yesterday at the boat that banged a 1/4 oz crankbait over the tops of weeds in 8 fow.
