Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

2015.03.10- Had another enjoyable day on Wixom Lake … sunny and warm but had to deal with the wind gusts. Found crappie in a couple locations in over 30 ft of water … they were unable to swim after the catch so I decided to fish for them a while for a little fish dinner then stopped at 8… had to keep a couple small ones ranged from 7 to 10.8” inches in length. Caught more with the pink gulp as compared to the waxies. The perch seemed to like the waxies better. The perch followed the same pattern as the day previous, hard bottom points that dropped off quickly to the 22” ft mark. I swapped out the mono on my UL UL to 2# fluorocarbon and it definitely made an improvement.
