Do you love big bluegill?
These are the new rules for the little lake I fished during the summer…
i really wish they would of capped the sunfish at 8"

Some limit is better than none, but fifteen per angler per day will still allow the larger bluegill to be fished out.

yep any combination...
michigan dnr studies suggest 6 inches is the shortest fish anglers are willing to keep.
i would have liked to have seen an 8 in upper limit on gills, hybrids and seeds and 12" on crappies... there would have been more likelihood of 10" plus gills in the future.
they are trying to curb groups of families sending three boys each out in the boat and hauling 75 fish in on a daily basis is my presumption.
the lake is only 47 acres in size

Is this a combined limit of 15 for all panfish? 6" is a very small crappie/perch?
