Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

A Plague of Grasshoppers!!!! Four each yellow, light brown, green with yellow legs, and green with green legs. Plus a couple foam crickets. These four colors represent the bulk of the hopper colors through the course of a Summer here in OK. These things are DEADLY!

Great talent Allen.....I'm sure they would catch fish on the rivers I fish......

I don't have the video, but, you can readily find it on youtube.  Run a search for "GFA Foam Hoppers".  That's the pattern I use.  The only change that I do, is that I omit tying on a small piece of brightly-colored foam to the head of the bug at the end.  That serves as an indicator, but on the still waters I fish, I don't need it.

Those look really good, Allan. I especially like the tan and yellow bodied ones. Great job on the hoppers!!!

those are great looking hoppers! do you have a video on how you made them?

Big fan of the hoppers.  If I had only one topwater fly to fish it would be a hopper.  Good job, like the touch of flash tied in.
