Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Anybody have any insight into what this growth is on the fins of this gill? There was some on it's gills as well.

I know the drum are in salt water, but I'm wondering about your lakes Mike.

Cool, are they freshwater or salt or what? I wasn't sure about red drum being just one or the other or both? Thanks

From other opinions and some research this looks to be some type of worm that also gets into the filets. They are deposited by a bird when it takes a dump, then eventually attaches to the fish.
