thanks John and Gary... i was very proud of this fish just a whisker short of a Certificate but a trophy non the less in my eye. i was amazed at the coloring  and suspected spawning or courting was in progress but the first week in august!

That is a pretty fish. I can't wait to get at them again in the Spring. The weather has finally turned cold up here in NJ. Not being an ice fisher, it looks like I'm on the sidelines until March or so.
