Thanks Allen!

Yesterday marked the first time this year fishing a deep break pattern. Since weve been on the shallow pattern since ice out ive barely used the sonar for anything but temperature, navigation and time! Sonar proved its worth yesterday. Found the schools on large expanses along the deep break at 15’. If I brought one of my drop shot rigs we would’ve done better with the gills because that’s where they were … out deep.

didn't think about it till now ... i should of snapped a couple screen dumps of the fish following baitballs from the sonar.

The light sounds like a good strategy as well as the night fishing… might be just the thing to tag that 14” plusser. Thanks for the tip.

Nice!

I've heard the Crappie are starting their summer pattern.  They'll come up shallow at night.  If you have a way to put some lights on your yak, and some kind of light-up slip-float, you should be able to get them with minnows under a float.

I will probably be trying this once my work settles down and I go back to 5 days a week.
