They are as far south as Alabama as far as I can glean from this search .

I asked the question some where on her. Old men hard time remembering.
Are these fish more prond to live in cooled water? Don't see them down here in the south.

Hey Walt, Thanks for the kind comments on my RedBreast Sunfish! I have no idea what the common lengths are on RedBreasts?! I do know this is my largest RedBreast of the year so far and it was a very chunky, thick fish! I did not get a weight on it as it was a Catch and Release fish! They are really tough fighters and rival Gills as to how hard they fight once they are hooked--a real test on light line! If your drag is not set right, the big ones will break your 4 lbs test every time on their initial run!!!
