Thanks Carl!... I bought this fly tying kit from B.Pro a few years ago from a gift card… bought it to actually just do repairs and then maybe start tying my own floating sponge spiders. Then it hit me to do some jigs that look close to the sponge spider design. After procuring the materials I tied a batch on 1/64 oz collared jig heads and they actually sat on the most part. Last April B’Gills were swarming the shallows and this ended up being one of the most effective presentations. I ended up losing the rest during early summer on small pike bite-offs. So for now just a short restocking effort. Just a simple tie … certainly nothing like you guys have put together. That shallow water pre-spawn bite is coming up very soon… so I needed to reload.
ran out of 1/64 so im starting a batch of 1/32... admittedly could be a good time winter seasonal time kill
THEY LOOK GREAT SLIP STINKER !! WELCOME TO THE BOTTOMLESS PIT OF FLY TYING !! HOW ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR WORK ? MATERIAL;; TYPE OF BODY; HOOK SIZE !
