Hey Boogieman, thanks for the e-mail. I've been in beds with a few folks both male and female and even by myself. Maybe it does sound kinky, but it's good fishin' either way. Bed fishing doesn't really bother me all that much. I feel that most of the time, it seems to help the population out. I go to my friend's lake 2 or 3 times a month and set a limit for myself of 10 bream a trip. My friend told me one time that he doesn't put a limit on the bream due to the numbers in the lake. He told me that I can keep any bass up to 3 pounds too. We'll get together come Spring and see what we can do. Nick

Hey Boogie thaks for the reply. Its just that I posted a top water cricket, I didn't rate it but it had a rating on it. Wasn't that good of a fly, but it is effective in the summer along banks. Did you ever catch one of those gators that is your pics, on purpose any way? Wont use a float tube in your area.( insert smilie face here)
  • Greg McWilliams

You are right about the rating service, I found the stars you were talking about. I see you had a scamp in the pic with the gator, not sure I would like that much either. You use crickets I have read could you take a pic of some. Thats a weird request I know, but I am working on a sinking cricket fly. Got several patterns tied want to see how the look against the real thing.

  • Greg McWilliams

If'n you can get a sexy pose with those crickets, will have to rename you Cricketmiester. Then we post them as Big Blue Gill Centerfold! A scamp is what you call your BluGill Buggy. If I could blow up that picture I see a cricket cage. Why don't you have crickets I thougt I read some where You always have them, 500 at a time.
    Greg
  • Greg McWilliams

Ok Cricketmiester, I stand corrected, and you you really need to go fishing, sounds like you are to busy!!

  • KEN BROCK THE FISH DENTIST

YOUR GOOGLE SITE HAS A LOT OF INFO. I'M PICTURING MY FAVORITE FISHING HOLE. COULD WE BE FISHING NEAR A SPRING WHEN WERE ON OUR HONEY HOLE? I READ AN ARTICLE STATING FISH CONGRETE NEAR SPRINGS. I GUESS A SPRING SOMETIMES IS AS HARD TO FIND AS F GILLS AND EARS.
  • KEN BROCK THE FISH DENTIST

ONE DAY AT MY HONEY HOLE WITH MY COUSIN, HE AND I WERE CATCHING EARS AND GILLS. I WAS ON TOP OF THINGS THAT DAY. HAVING A TIME OF MY LIFE. I SAID TO COUS. I FEEL LIKE A DENTIST WITH THESE NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS. WITH THAT COMMENT I CAPTURED THE NAME OF THE FISH DENTIST. SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT. I MAKE SURE I ALWAYS HAVE MY PLIERS IN THE BOAT, OR THE OFFICE MIGHT BE CLOSED THAT DAY. BY THE WAY GRANDPARENTS (FISH) OFFICE CALLS ARE FREE. BUT, THOSE DAMN KIDS I CHARGE DOUBLE! THEY MUST BE AT LEAST 9in. TALL.
  • Greg McWilliams

I don't have it copyrighted, Boogie. Hard to copywrite what has been normal and around forever. Oh I know why you have rubber legs. If'n I had those water lizards with teeth I would have rubber legs, also. In the mean time only cricket imitations have rubber legs!!!
  • Jeremy R. Mayo

Dog woods are puttin on blooms! You better be gettin your patience ready for a day of fishing with a auburn fella!
  • Jeremy R. Mayo

I wouldnt wanna be down wind of me either. All your gonna smell is them big ole bulls im pullin on!
  • Bama Bream Buster

Yeah Boogieman, you are right on the money....I am from Daphne Al...I have fished the Escambia Co. lake for years. All my kin are from the Brewton area, so it's just right up the road. I have caught some very nice blurgills in that lake as well as a few fine shellcrackers...I've caught bream there on just about everything. My biggest have been on tube jigs....but believe it or not, you can catch them on small bits of chicken liver. Maybe I'll run into you there...
  • Greg McWilliams

Hey Boogie, The "pink" cricket has gone the way of the buffalo. Something hit it hard, took it into the brush pile it was next to have dinner. Gonna have to get another in the vice. Might be something to this cricket thing!!!! But it still hasn't caught a gill. Fish 1 Greg 0

It is a great setup, I was just wonderin'. I used to have a 14' jon boat (gave it to my 18 yr. old) that had a converted cooler to live well on it. But now I just use a basket for any I decide to keep. As I am w/o any form of floatation conveyance at the time, I am really thinking about getting one like yours. I've gone to your link and checked out the variety, they seem reasonable for the price. A lot of features that I didn't know were available. Take care and I'll read ya later.
  • Jeremy R. Mayo

Did you call.... My phone bubbled before it died. I still cant believe I fell outta the boat!
  • Bill Trussell

    Boogieman
I will be doing a post on one of my recent blue gill trips, and their is a picture of the Raider boat in the. This is one handy little boat, it only weights 50 lbs. and I can handle it with ease. I even put a deep finder on it. Academy Sports carries the boats and I bought mime when they were on sale a couple of years ago. I paid 300.00 bucks for it. I use a 30 lb trolling motor with it which make the thing move on the water.
  • Derrick

I should probably Blog more than I do because I'm so wordy.
AMEN.............. and thanks for being so.

How to: what a great idea. Can those of us who have a question start a discussion for others to answer? Such as - How to catch a fish with a cricket instead of just having them pull it off the hook? Are small things welcome such as - How to feed fish and not turtles? Answer - walk around the pond and throw food inall around instead of concentrating it in only a few places where the turtles can gulp it in.
  • 10.5" RES Sharon

Did you mean that the How to does not show up on the latest activity board? It does. If that's not what you meant, please explain again. BTW - I am your first (and most important) member
  • 10.5" RES Sharon

No no, the person that creates the group does not count as the first member. Did you go to group and join???? NO, you are just automatically a member which doesn't count, therefore you are not the most important member.
  • 10.5" RES Sharon

    yes
  • 10.5" RES Sharon

Whether you can kick me out does not make you more important, (and I don't think you can anyway) only being #1 does that. AND, your number 1 does not count, only the members that clicked on "join" count, as they are the members that "joined". AND I was the first that joined. hehehe
  • 10.5" RES Sharon

    What group did you delete?
  • 10.5" RES Sharon

There are lots of clubs here, are you criticizing me for not knowing which club has disappered suddenly from the site? It feels like it. I was just curious which club is no longer there, and thought you would tell me so I didn't have to research it. Not that there is a way to do that, if it isn't there, it isn't there.
  • 10.5" RES Sharon

Checking to see how many groups a member was in never occurred to me. Anyway, I was thinking of creating a discussion: How to get members interesting in answering your questions, as I seldom get an answer even with pictures. I have even tried relisting "unanswered questions" but that didn't get any answers either. I'm feeling particularly boring today I guess, which is why I'm being sarcastic. I've been told I hurt peoples feelings with my sarcastic comments. Well.................
  • Jen Nayfly

Boogie, looks like the OU crimson is chasing the Bama crimson for that #1 spot!

How do you THINK about Fishing On Beds, or Parking Empty Shopping Carts?

How can we respond if you chose "no comments"?
  • 10.5" RES Sharon

Ok, news from the water pond - one of the few things Walmart does right is to hire handicapped people to perform certain jobs. Picking up carts, stocking, and cleaning up are a few. That makes the handicapped person happy, and saves at least some of the money given to them via SSI. If we all put the carts where they are supposed to be, they could cut back on how many handicapped employees they need. Does that seem like a good solution to you? BTW - it seems you were floating in the pond for a long time.
