Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Back when I was in my 20s I lived on the Piaute reservation out side a lil town called Wells in NV well I took a walk into town and came across a garage sale I looked around and found a fly rod it was hand carved from the late 40s then I seen an old trout basket I asked the older gent how much and he looked at me and said I got that stuff when I was about your age is this going to be your first fly rod I said yes I wanted to learn how to fly fish he gathered up the gear and got some old flys and put them into the old basket and handed it all to me I asked how much he looked at me and said son you can have it I like to see the younger gen wanting to learn the old form of fishing like fly fishing so that after noon we went up to Angel Lake about 12 miles out of town and he showed me how to fly fish my first fish on that fly rod was a 4lb rainbow trough out the years in moving I some how had lost the old rod but I can still remember the old man and that fishing trip like it was yesterday makes me smile every time I think about it

GREAT STORY FROM THE PAST WOLF, THANKS FOR POSTING IT . A shame you misplaced the rod buddy and I guess that happens to all of us at one time or another. Now I find myself loosing stuff almost daily. I go to look for something I've had for years and just can't remember were I hid it !!!!..............
