Right now I have been using the St Croix panfish series rods (7', 6' 9", & 6') and a 7' Phenix rod. For reels - 3 Pleuger Patriarch (w/2lb XXX izorline) and a Shimano Ci4 (w/2lb Yo Zuri Hybrid) on the 6' 9".

so far for combos i use an old 4'6" Daiwa ultralight with a tiny light trigger spin reel with 2 lb bass pro torn special. my little brother is set up with a tiny light spinning combo from bass pro with high-vis 4 lb crappy max line.
