Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

BigBlueGill, the site and its offshoots still seem like a small group kinda thing. It is what it is. I'll stick my neck out to further what I think is a good thing. I live on the upper Grand River, in 'Bula county Oh.. Its my backyard. Actually never caught a 'gill here, though rock bass and crappie's etc.. Maybe we can have a meet-n-greet here, I'll host, this summer. There is a ramp here in Austinburg Twp just upstream on the river. Plenty of bank fishing available, my 200+ ft of bank included. Will see what the interest level is. Have a camp on the Clarion river in elk county Penn., too, we'll see. steve b

For further info.. Am in Austinburg Ohio, off rte 90, down rte45, till ya see the Grand River next to the road on your maps. Got 2+ acres here, can camp a few. Can have open fires, to cook, to sit around and BS. Tent space, etc.. How far you willing to stick your neck out ? As interest builds, will pick weekend. steve b
Geauga is where I grew up. Used to ride bike to fish the Polo Fields, Punderson and East Branch. I just kept moving east to avoid civilization, its highly over rated ! steve b
Hey Bill, stay in touch. Got bad news from work last night, our days are numbered, just don't know the number yet. Fishing may be all I can afford to do soon. Yes, have 12ft Jon boat here, oars,elec.. We can luanch both from Cold Cork Springs road to float my stretch. My neibhorhood has a dirt ramp, can skid them back up and out with my ATV.. steve b
I live in Warrensville OH. and I am willing to drive where ever blue gill or crappie fishing is going on.
Bill,Anthony, will keep you both in mind. The next month will be BUSY ! Then we'll see what we can put together. Have a bear raiding my bird feeders, got AMOK! training this weekend, then Easter, then trout camp in Penn.. after that will starting fishing for a date to meet. I think Bill's boat will nest within mine for a upstream launch. Can take out at the end of my road and skid boats up with ATV. Bill ? Since your in my old neibhorhood, got a couple old childhood hot spots that may or may not still be good for ya. We need to hook up. steve b
Bill , Am not too 'puter skilled, don't see how to e-mail/pm from here to you. This site set up differently than a couple others I play on. Not user friendly for me. See what ya can do from your end maybe. steve b
Give it a couple weeks from the last of the spring showers, going on now !, then any time after. Sometime also would like to float it at night, use the 6-8wts and use BIG poppers. We got muskie here. Have some bluefish leaders with steel bite guards. But yeah, can wait till july/august. steve b
Yup, its on the coffee table right now ! We need to do a show-n-tell of fishin' tackle when we do meet up. steve b
