Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I am considering putting a fish finder on my pontoon boat. Considering a portable unit, either a Humminbird Fishin' Buddy or Humminbird 565. Does anybody use either of these units ? If so, what is your opinion of them ? Thanks.

Steve, I bought a hummingbird fishin buddy for my kickboat. I have used it about ten times this year. I can't remember the model but it was one of the cheaper ones. I am very happy with it! It gives me a good bottom reading, water temp, shows some fish and will show brush piles. The double A batteries last a long time. I am glad I bought it! Hope this helps.

I have a fishin' Buddy laying around somewhere. I haven't seen it since I bought an Eagle 320C . I found the Humminbird confusing to use and the D cell battery compt. corroded
I pitched mine and went back to fishing.
I would imagine opinions vary. ole Mike
Thanks Tom and Michael. All opinions are helpful. Just another toy I suppose. Thought maybe a fish finder would eliminate some time searching for fish. Whatever I get, I want it to be simple. The Fishin' Buddy 130 looks like a simple and easy set up. Need something that will work for fly fishing, thought the sideway looking Fishin' Buddy would help. Thanks guys.
