Do you love big bluegill?
So im doing some research on crappie location for ice fishing during the winter months here in mid michigan... i came across this article that details crappie movement in BOW during the winter by lake type. very informative and a must read for crappie fishing on the ice... i believe this also relates to all panfish movement on the lakes during hard water season. explains vertical movements thru the water column concerning oxygen levels and plankton mvts during the day. awesome article

2015.02.04-CRAPPIES WITH SPOONS
Thanks for this video Ken .My two favorite spoons for Ice Crappie are the Nungesser and the 'Luhr Jensen Hus'. I've done well using a shiner head or tail section tipped on these spoons. It's amazing how big a package a 12" Crappie will commit to ! .
Spoons are a great lure for crappies, I have them in my tackle box and break them out often but I don't believe that to be the secret to catching more fish. This video is a little deceiving because they make you think they are catching the crappies over a bed of weeds as they start the video with a school in them but when they show the graph the fisherman are reading it's showing almost 35'.... I have found the most helpful videos to be like the article you posted originally Mr. Slip Sinker. And that is, it's helping you find fish and teach why they are where they are, you can't catch what you can't find..... I think the lure is secondary to that.... All that said, it was a fun video...:)
