Northeast South Dakota fishing

Has anybody been up to NE South Dakota recently for fishing in the Waubay/Webster area?  My wife and I and another couple were up there mid-February and did real well for nice Bluegills on Enemy Swim…Continue

I use to catch a bunch of them in small creek in Jefferson and Saline Counties.  Never did find any with size to them.  Most were seined or caught in minnow traps.

Anyone have advice on where to catch Orangespotted Sunfish or Pumpkinseeds in Eastern NE or Western IA?  I'm willing to drive, but would love to find a good spot within a couple of hours of Omaha.  Thanks!

The wife and I did really good on gills out at Wanahoo last weekend.  5in -9.5in in size.

I live in Gretna, and tend to go away from Omaha when I fish, just because there is less pressure.  However, I have been to Walnut Creek twice in the last couple of weeks and had great success on bluegill both times.  Once on the NE side of the side and once on the SW side.  Nightcrawlers on jigs, about a 1-2' below the bobber.

Found this site last night & am excited to be a member.  Bluegill bite is on in Eastern Nebraska.  Had a lot of success the last 2 weeks in shallow water near shore with bobber/jig/worm.  South side of Walnut Creek very productive.
