Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

April 17 will be event 1 of 8 in the Chicago Suburban fishing league. This weekend at Lee's Tackle in Elk Grove Village there will be a 2-day fishing show where I will be available for registration and to answer questions about float fishing, live bait and all-important bluegill fishing (one of the main fish of our fishing league).
There will be free fish and barbecue from 10 - 2 on both days!
The fishing league ( and club) are great ways to learn how to catch fish as seminars are held for all club members on 6 of the event days -before the timed fishing event.

The league will feature bank fishing with live bait for blue gill, carp, channel catfish, golden shiner, goldfish, bullhead, walleye, bass & perch.. All species count that are of legal size.

Those not wishing to fish the league events can join the club and still fish the timed events -just not for standings. A :45 minute seminar based on the lake we are fishing will be given prior to the event showing a specific live bait fishing setup that will help you catch fish on that lake. Key tackle components and two knots will be shown to help everyone catch more fish.

For more information about joining the educational fishing club and or the league- either visit me at Lee's in Elk Grove Village - Saturday or Sunday or you can call me 630-235-2162.

Events will be held in Downers Grove, Arlington Heights, Bolingbrook & Bloomingdale. (Note- our Chicago location was fish-killed - thank you Cook County for killing 12.5 tons of fish?!).

Seminars are included free in the club and League fishing will feature a new angler's division so prizes are split so that 50% of these will go to - everyone - . This is not a cut-throat competitive prize money league- it is a social, learning fishing league to grow the sport.

You can join anytime up to the 8th event. Attend as many or as few seminars as your schedule permits. Learning during the seminar and the timed fishing event comes through listening -watching (participants during the event) and discussing setups as well as practice, practice, practice! Every club member will catch more bluegills and more fish as well as larger fish this season by attending.

League fishing has started with the next event in two weeks (May 9th). If you are interested in fishing our league- the next event will be on the best bluegill lake I know of that is public in Arlington Heights (aprox. 20 min. from Chicago's North side). The fishing here will be great and I expect some big weights of bluegills to be caught in the May warm-up.

Drop me a line if you are interested in joining - the cost is cheap and you can join here:
If you are interested in joining the league & fishing club both, which includes the seminars, tackle discounts, private lesson discounts join both here.
Yes there are family discounts so you can have your kids or family member join you (up to 4!) for just $20 more.
