Thill Gold Metal versus Gold Metal Supreme Floats

Hello,

I really enjoy Thill Gold Metal floats, but have not tried the newer Gold Metal Supreme Floats.  The Supreme  (for the Stealth and Mini Stealth models) have a plastic system where you can switch floats without taking off your jig and can also convert from slip to fixed float without using silicone sleeves. The original Gold Metal floats have a metal ring on the bottom.  

I wonder if anyone has used the Supreme Floats and, when using it as a slip float, does the line slide through the plastic groove as well as the metal ring of the original Gold Metal  floats.
