Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The 3 things every fisherman needs. A fishin' buddy, a fishin' hat, and a favorite fishin' rod(and a current fishin' license !). Waht ? You didn't know this ? LOL ! steve b

HAHA NOT TRUE IN EVERY STATE! Long as your on the bank in your own county in alabama you can fish with a stick and line and be with in the law! Aint that cool?
I can fish my own property here, but why would I limit myself to 275ft on one side of one river ? Heck, I can't get by with fishing only one state ! steve b
I guess thats the beauty of livin in mobile. There is no limit to bank fishing. Miles and miles and miles and yea some more miles of places to fish from the bank. Rivers creeks county lakes. You can catch gills bass catfish crappie specks reds sheepshead croaker white trout pompino blue crab ladyfish flounder jacks sharks ( Yep I said sharks) Mang snapper... I mean the list just goes on and on and on. Im an avid stick fisherman. Ive got anywhere from 8ft to 20ft poles in my arsenal. Theres nothing in the world like trying to land a 10lb plus redfish on a cane pole. I spend most of my time in the boat but for those that dont have the opportuninty to get into the thousands and thousands of acres of the delta and river system here there options really arent as limited as most folks.
Hey Jeremy, my only "stick" fishin' has been on Tampa Bat, at night, for Cobia, BIG Cobia. We used 18-20' "Calcutta" poles, with 20ft of 125lb aircraft cable, 12/0 hooks, and a 6-10 Pinfish for bait. Have a 12/0 at home that got straightened out one night from a Cobia estimated to be in triple digits. Looked like a brown shark to me ! FUN ! steve b
