If you are referring to the hollow, pegged bobber used for providing weight for casting a

fly with a spinning rod ,you add a swivel about 4-6 feet above the fly but below the bobber.

Also, you need to add a bead above the swivel but below the bobber to protect the swivel knot

and to prevent the hollow end of bobber from jamming against swivel.

July 8, 2011 I wrote a blog. Maybe this will help you. They do make a clear bobber with rubber tubing in it like a surgical tubing. When you get the line where you want it between the bobber and the fly I used a rubber spider for the example, you grab both ends of the bobber and twist then. This will hold everything in place. Hope this helps you. This system I use all the time for fishing top water. There is a diagram for an example for july 8 2011 blog on how to fish a rubber spider. GOOD FISHIN

I use clamp-on bobbers which don't usually slip so stops are not needed but I do add a swivel between the bobber and hook.

In my case, I am fishing dark colored water and encounter other species, so I tend to snell the hook on #12 test line. The swivel helps control line twist and provides a connection between the leader and the #6 running line.

If I was fishing live baits in a very clear body of water, I might skip the leader and tie a small hook directly to the running line. Of course a tiny swivel can still be added in those situations.
