Am getting ready to put a Humminbird side imaging unit on the boat, was wondering how many here use them, and if they have improved the number or size of the bluegill you catch? I know it will help my crappie fishing, should also be able to spot bedding gills, and the structure that holds them.
This is a good informative thread. I have an old Humminbird WideScreen, 1995 vintage, mounted on rear of boat, and a newed Humminbird 728 on the front trolling motor. Both black and white. Have got a lot of help using them to locate fish. Have been looking a new color models but haven't made up my mind to spend the money just yet, but there is a world of difference with good quality color.
